Hello! My name is James Kitatange Daniel. I am originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I was born in 1987 in the east side of the country, precisely in Uvira which is one cities of South Kivu region, geographically located at the extreme north end of Tanganyika lake. I was raised in different towns of the country but mostly in Uvira by my parents and, in Bukavu which is the capital city of the region by uncles and aunts. My father’s name is Maneno Jean-Pierre kitatange, and my mom is Tabu Leah Kitatange. My father passed away in June 2015. Only my mom still alive. We were seven kids in my family, five boys and two girls. Unfortunately, all girls and one boy passed away too. I am the fourth kid in my family and we are actually four boys alive. In 1993, i started my primary school at Kasenga Primary school and earned a Primary School Certificate in 1999 at the same school. In 2000, i started my seventh grade at Heri Institute and quit a year after due to the school’s conditions, and went to continue my school journey at Mwanga Institute, priorly called Stella Maris College, from eighth to twelfth grade and earned a high school diploma in Latin language and Philosophy since i was willing to be a catholic priest while i was raised in a protestant family. Honestly, that was the beginning of all kind of conflict between me and my mom, till i quit that major and went back to an educational career at the Institute of Pedagogy, actually called ISP/Bukavu, which means in french Institut Superieur pedagogique of Bukavu where i earned an AAS degree in French and African languages in 2009. In the same year, i decided to go back to my city of origin, and started teaching french in High school named ITAV/Kasenga, which spells for Institut Technique Agricole et Veterinaire Kasenga, in french. I taught there for 6 years. During the time i was teaching, i went back to school of development, and earned another associate degree in Environmental studies back in 2012. At that time, i started combining teaching with actions for development in my city and rural areas. I created the UVD Ltd which spells for United Volunteers for Development and the Association regrouped 14 people, men and women of all religions and tribes. Three years after, in 2015, the time came to join my wife in United States of America, and that how i am here now. View all posts by James K Daniel
